  • Flexible Game Modes:

  • Unranked: Enjoy casual rounds with friends without affecting your stats or rankings.

  • Ranked: Step up your game! Compete in ranked matches that contribute to your official GolfRivals Handicap and propel you up the regional leaderboards.

  • Wager Matches: Add excitement to your game. Choose between:

  • Cash Wagers (In-Person): Settle up directly with your playing partners after the round. (Note: These do not affect leaderboard rankings.)
     

  • GolfRivals Currency (Coming Soon): Deposit funds securely within the app for automatic escrow and payout to the winner. These matches will count towards leaderboard rankings and competitive stats.
     

  • Verifiable Handicap System: GolfRivals automatically calculates your handicap based on official USGA formulas, adjusting for course slope and rating. All ranked scores are peer-verified by your playing partners, ensuring accuracy and preventing "sandbagging." You'll need at least 3 ranked games to establish your GolfRivals Handicap.
     

  • RivalRating Leaderboards: Our unique RivalRating system fairly compares players across all courses and tees. Your RivalRating is based on the average of your best round differentials from ranked games, allowing you to track your progress and compete for top spots in regional leaderboards. The lower your rating, the better your performance!
     

  • Regional Tournaments: Compete for a chance to qualify for prestigious regional tournaments. The top 32 golfers earn a spot through a hybrid qualification system, ensuring both regional stars and local course champions get to battle for cash prizes and bragging rights.
     

  • Player Rating & Reputation: After each match, rate your playing partners on a 1-5 star scale based on sportsmanship, honesty, and pace of play. Build a strong reputation to attract quality players and contribute to a trusted, vibrant community.
     

  • ID Verification for Wagers: To maintain integrity and comply with regulations, all participants in wager matches must complete a simple ID verification process (21+ only).
